General COVID-19 Awareness & Business Preparation

Loan Assistance

  • All of Wyoming is approved for U.S. Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans. Businesses can apply at: sba.gov/disaster

  • The Paycheck Protection Program (part of the CARES Act) is assistance for small businesses and non-profits to help keep their workforces employed during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. The application through the Small Business Administration can be found at: http://ow.ly/n6cb50z2mMM.

Workforce Services & Unemployment

  • Workers who have lost their jobs through layoffs may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance. While that financial assistance does not replace a full paycheck, it can help people through the hard times. Anyone who has lost work through no fault of their own can file for Unemployment Insurance benefits online at:  wyui.wyo.gov

  • The IRS has posted answers to frequently asked questions on the filing and payment tax relief provided in response to the ongoing COVID19 emergency. These questions and answers will be updated periodically. See www.irs.gov/coronavirus.

 

Grants & Funding Opportunities

  • The Wyoming Community Foundation has set up a COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund, along with its Unrestricted Fund, which together will be utilized for grantmaking to nonprofit organizations immediately and as needs arise in upcoming months and coming years. Visit wycf.org to inquire.

  • The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is accepting proposals for Investment Connection in response to COVID-19. The Request For Proposals invites community organizations helping low- and moderate-income populations directly and indirectly affected by the coronavirus outbreak to connect with potential funders.
