Individual Development Account (IDA) Program Click here if you already have a Username and Password to go directly to your Personal Finance Management Training Program - Individual Development Accounts are matched savings accounts that can help you save money towards starting or expanding your own business, purchasing or repairing a home, or continuing your education.
- You will learn to set financial goals and develop a plan to reach them, and how to use credit wisely and make informed spending decisions. You will also develop skills related to your savings goal.
- Each participant will develop his/her own savings plan, but generally, you should plan to save between $25 and $55 per month, for 18 months to 3 years. The first $2,000 of your savings will be matched by grant funds, which will be paid to the asset vendor directly once you complete the training and reach your goal.
